►Several scenes show clashes between armed beings from an alien space vessel fighting several superheroes and soldiers with shooting, throwing, fighting, and stabbing; one guard is slashed across the throat, one superhero is stabbed in the back, and later in the abdomen, and a device is attached to the superhero’s abdomen where it collects blood. Many guards open fire on two young men and a man as they race through a network of tunnels to find a captive held in a large metal sphere; one young man moves around the other young man shifting the bullets so the young man will not be struck after moving the young man across the room and the young man vomits a lot of goo on the floor (we see goo); the captive is picked up and carried out of the cell and we see that she is pale and seems sickly, and when they exit the area, one man lunges toward another man in the hallway trying to scare him, but he doesn’t flinch; one young man throws the man and he is shot through the leg (we see the bloody bullet pass through his leg as he yells in pain), the rest of the group is shot at, one spreads large bat wings to block the bullets, and a giant metal sphere drops through a passage toward them as they try to escape. A superhero attacks a villain, shooting him with laser eyes and slamming him repeatedly into the side of a vessel making an indention in the hull. A man sets off an explosive that throws him, two young men and a young woman up and through a passage to escape being crushed by a giant metal sphere, and they are surrounded by armed people on the snow-covered ground. A plane is struck midair and the occupant is unable to eject so he crashes the vessel into a larger ship.

Two young men are struck by lightning and one is struck in the back while the other is struck in the chest; one young man has a tooth knocked out and he spits it on the floor and they both fall to the floor moaning. A young boy runs away from his house after his mother has been killed, a young man with powers of super speed runs very fast, and then seems to stretch unnaturally and then runs backward seemingly altering time (he sees events from his past). Two young men “phase” through doors and walls (passing through as we see bubbles and cells moving on the screen). A young man tries to pass through a wall and slams into it. Two young men slap each other, struggle when they confront each other, and realize they are the same person from different timelines; one ends up with a pair of briefs over his face. The Flash MESSAGE
– The scars we have make us who we are. Not every problem has a solution and some situations are inevitable.
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
